PERRYS FAT-N-UP uses carefully selected ingredients to create a horse feed to provide essential vitamins and minerals that play a role in assisting your horse to improve its ondition.

FAT-N-UP vitamin and mineral levels are formulated to meet the requirements of horses from maintenance levels up to a moderate work load. FAT-N-UP avoids the use of starch based meal products, choosing instead to use quality conditioning ingredients like Rice Pollard, Cold Pressed Canola Oil, Soybean Meal and Steam Rolled Lupins.

WHY A MUESLI FEED?

The horse is a herbivore without the benefits of the ruminant digestive system (i.e. cows/sheep) which helps to facilitate digestion of high fibre diets. To counter this, the horse evolved masticating (chewing) feed for up 18 hours a day. This level of mastication would be impossible without constantly erupting teeth, which can continue emerging from the gums until the horse is up to 25 years old. Without this regular chewing, the teeth can create overgrowths, which can result in several developmental and nutritional issues.

A major advantage of feeding unprocessed muesli feeds is the mastication required to digest the feed assists with wearing of the teeth, helping to promote the maintenance of healthy teeth.

VITAMIN AND MINERALS

The vitamin and mineral levels in PERRYS FAT-N-UP have been carefully selected to ensure that horses receive the appropriate levels for its size and work load. Ensure high quality pasture or hay is used when fed to your horse, as these are an important source of vitamins and minerals in the horse’s diet, including vitamins A and D.

OIL FOR CONDITION AND ENERGY

Whilst Oil content in feed plays an important part in improving condition and coat on your horse, it is also a good source of energy. Please take this into consideration when introducing FAT-N-UP to a horse’s diet. PERRYS FAT-N-UP contains essential Omega 3and Omega 6 oils. Our Canola Oil is extracted by cold compression to reduce oxidisation, which can occur during the processing of recycled oils.

Delivery Schedule

Orders are usually delivered within 1-3 days but please allow up to 5 days. Occasionally if it is a product we do not keep in stock we will need to order it in. This usually is very fast and can still be delivered within 1-3 days but please allow 1-5 days (usually if you order at the start of the week, it will arrive by the end of
the week). If there are any delays we will contact you.

 

What if you’re not home?

The beauty of home delivery in Melbourne is the convenience, so we don’t expect you to be home. Our delivery team can meet any of your requests so please leave any special delivery instructions in the ‘customer’s note’ section and we will attend to it or call you to make arrangements. We deliver between 8am - 5pm weekdays.

If you live in an apartment please state when ordering a day and time that works with you as you will need to be present to accept the order. Please give us as wide of a window as you can or multiple days to choose from so that we have a better chance of fitting you into a run. Only thing is no we cannot bring your order up to your room as we are not allowed to enter building complexes, nor can we leave your order in the lobby unattended.

If we attempt delivery during your recommended times and are unsuccessful,
we will ask that you pick your order up from our Keilor store or we will
process a refund.
